November 4th, 2010:
When I spoke to Dave & Jenn about the engagement pictures, they decided that they wanted a shoot with interesting architecture, something uncommon, something glamorous. So I suggested that they head out from the OC to the Big City, and unfortunately they also encountered severe Big City traffic, even on a Saturday.
Nonetheless, they showed up in red-carpet worthy outfits: Jenn in a sweeping ballgown with subtle Art Deco-inspired details on the bodice (my wife’s womanly observations of fashion, not mine), while Dave was dapper in a very current gray suit and skinny tie that Don Draper would approve of (also my wife’s description, since, according to her, I don’t have much sartorial sense – I totally disagree: cargo shorts, flip-flops and polos are so in).
With such a beautiful, impeccably-dressed couple, two gorgeous locations and an “awesome assistant” (my wife’s words, although she said I shouldn’t write this on here), I had my work cut out for me. I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves:
We had so much fun that I shot for more than 2 hours until it was utterly dark, leaving all four of us famished when I was finally done. We headed off for a post-shoot dinner at The Grove, where we hung out and shared lots of laughs.
Felicia and I can’t wait to be part of Dave & Jenn’s wedding day in January – and maybe I’ll even wear a gray suit and skinny tie, if the wife approves.

Absolutely gorgeous. Love how glamorous Dave & Jenn look all dressed up! WOW!
I have to agree, we do make a stunning couple! 😉 Thank you so much for being our photographer. We could not imagine anyone capturing our big day other than you and Felicia.

Amazingly done. What a creative way to shoot pictures at LACMA. Stunning couple and my favorite is the couple looking away holding hands with the palms trees in the background. Definitely not your typical engagement pictures.
OMG! I really love all the pictures. Jenn you will have to share this photographer’s info for Rich and I. I am so excited for your wedding. Congrats again. Love, Jed. 🙂
