July 1st 2011:
Sometime last year, I received a call from an unfamiliar number while driving along PCH before an engagement shoot. I remember pulling over to take the call, and was surprised to learn that it was a call from Annapolis, Maryland. Beverly was referred to us by her friends Jennifer & Neil – whose wedding Felicia and I shot in 2008 – and she was wondering if we would travel out to the east coast to photograph hers too.
Fast forward 12 months, and Felicia and I found ourselves on a redeye from Burbank to Washington, D.C., excited to finally MEET Beverly and Silviano!
Turns out, Beverly and I apparently went to Cal State Fullerton at the same time, but neither of us actually remembered each other being in the Theatre department. Oops – at least it wasn’t only me forgetting things.
MJ is the way to go. Beverly’s MOH Tamilyn tried to convince us of Rick Astley’s awesomeness, but the King of Pop is hard to beat. Sorry, Rick.
According to the coordinator at the church, the stars painted on the ceiling of the Cathedral reflect the exact position of the stars on the day the church was dedicated after extensive retrofitting. How neat!
The historic center of Annapolis is a compact little town, so Beverly and Silviano got to enjoy a little stroll as newlyweds from the Church to the reception site.
Congratulations, Bev & Sly. Thank you so much for having us be part of your big day. It was an absolute blast, and we had a great time on the east coast!
