July 8th, 2011:
For the last half a year now, I’ve heard Felicia utter the words “Mr Delicious” many, many times over. She would go “awwwwww!!” and coo and go “Oh my god, Rob, you HAVE to see this!” as she dragged me towards the computer.
“Mr Delicious” is none other than the little fella in the newsboy cap, the baby boy of Felicia’s friend P. Felicia also insists that Delicious is the new benchmark of cuteness for babies – mixed babies in particular.
I blame P and G for tempting her with 20-pounds of Deliciousness. I keep telling her, Delicious has already maxed out the quota of cuteness for mixed babies, so she shouldn’t even consider one. At all.
Poor Delicious seemed quite bewildered by the photoshoot. The DC triathlon caused some serious road closures, and just as Delicious got sleepy due to the detours, BAM! We were pointing cameras and flashes in his face for this 12-minute photoshoot.
This mural behind an art gallery was apparently by the artist who created Obama’s ‘Hope’ poster, and was a location suggested by P. Good call – the bold colors make for an awesome background.
And special reminder to my wife: NO. BABIES!

I wonder how my new daughter will be looking like. The woman on the picture seems from Southeast Asia, with higher cheek bones and rounder face than Asians from other areas. I was from northen China, with big brown round eyes, oval shaped face and medium toned skin. My husband has wavy brown hair, curly beard and very fair skin. His nose is much bigger than mine, his face isn’t as long as of the guy on the picture. His family roots were from central Europe, Hungary or Austria-Switzerland. So how would my baby look like? She’ll be coming in this December. I wish she looks more of Western than Asian so that people won’t give her a hard look, living in the deep South with some hickies.
