April 8th, 2011:
After that night out on The Strip in Vegas – where for the first time in my life in Vegas, I was so busy working that I did not have a single drink nor play a single game of Craps. Crap. – we woke up bright & early (waaaaay too early for Vegas) and drove out into the nothingness that is the Nevadan desert.
Actually, it’s not really nothing nothingness. We were headed to the ghost town of Nelson, which Michelle discovered. All I can say is, this is easily one of my all-time favorite locations to shoot at, and the 2 hours allocated to us were unfortunately over in the blink of an eye. I literally could have shot here all day.
Kudos to Michelle for preparing themed outfits and an accompanying assortment of footwear too!
What? Isn’t it perfectly normal to dress up in the middle of nowhere, sit around heaps of ‘shabby chic’ scrap and look badass?
Felicia and I are convinced that Michelle is an undercover supermodel. She really knows how to work it for the camera!
Then, as we were leaving, we passed a fairly quiet stretch of road so I made Michelle & Endy get back into their evening finery and snapped a few pictures while the occasional passing Nevadan would slow down, curiously peer at our road-side photoshoot, and give a puzzled frown.
Thanks Michelle & Endy for taking us on such a fun-filled trip to Nevada. We love how you guys were such great sports for an epic 2-day photoshoot and for being awesome friends to us too!
