April 4th, 2011:
Christine & Scott booked us a year out from their wedding, enthusiastic about our work (thank you!) and excited to have us photograph their big day. In the months that passed, we talked about their engagement session and finally decided on a shoot in the great outdoors, at Topanga Canyon State Park. Alas, despite our best intentions and well-laid plans, a storm system blew into Los Angeles for full two days before their shoot. Rain = muddy state park, which would not bode well for ladies in high heels.
Christine suggested that we reschedule to the ‘safe indoors’ of Union Station, which was especially beautiful on this overcast day with soft light pouring through the huge art deco windows. The weather even held up enough that, despite being quite chilly, we were able to head across the street for more pictures at Olvera Street. Perfect. Turned out really good for a ‘Plan B’!
Thanks Christine & Scott for being so much fun to shoot! Looking forward to your wedding in June!
