March 25th, 2011:
Last week we shot Dom and Lisette lightsaber-fighting their way through downtown Los Angeles, but they love pictures and wanted more images that captured their love of the outdoors. We had originally planned to head up to Sequoia National Park, but a storm blew in and threatened to shut down the roads (can’t risk getting stranded when we have a wedding the next day!), so we quickly reconnoitered to Mt Baldy here in Southern California. The skies turned out perfectly blue and the sun shone bright – we climbed on everything and I did my best to try and not get soaking wet while forcing them to climb on logs which precariously balanced over the rushing creek.
It was a thoroughly grand day in the sunshine, and afterwards Lisette’s mom invited us over for a backyard BBQ complete with homecooked chili rellenos, beans, beer, and carne asada. I was in Mexican food heaven and overindulged – I think I am still digesting.
We had another awesome day with these two but you know Felicia’s favorite part of the day? Finding a stick shaped like a gun…
