These little guys are my nephews, Preston and Jonah. Their mother contacted me last week and asked if I could set up a session for them and although Preston (the older brother) didn’t feel like cooperating, these are the results.

This is Cassandra and Javier, big time travel fans, who after seeing my travel pictures and getting a great review from Brett and Katie decided to book me for their October wedding. As always I included an engagement session, and we decided to meet up in Claremont outside of one of Southern California’s best restaurants, Viva Madrid. We wandered around old town capturing some great images, then headed back to Viva Madrid for a liter of Sangria, a few tapas and some excellent travel conversation. Definitely the best way to end any shoot.
Oh! For those of you counting… this is post number 600! Woot for me!

I just finished up Ben and Sanja’s pictures from their Topanga Canyon wedding a couple weeks ago, and thought I would share them now that this great couple has had a chance to see them.
Ben and Sanja are awesome people who invited Felicia and I to their home to have dinner and let us show them their pictures in person. I love when I get to sit with a couple as they see their pictures the first time, it really gives me a warm feeling knowing my images are able to bring out so much emotion. Once again thanks for dinner guys, and I am glad you love your pictures!

After a day of recon with my wife earlier last week (which involved a wonderfully romantic picnic for the two of us), Annie and Justin got lucky when we came across these fields of green that have sprung to life recently in Topanga Canyon. We met up with this young couple in the middle of the day, by most photographers accounts, the time you would least like to be making pictures. I didn’t find it so at all and let that sun shine through on these great pictures of this happy couple.

No, not THAT Venice.
I spent Good Friday at the bustling Venice Beach in California, shooting an engagement session with Anna & Alan.
The winds were chilly but the light was as gorgeous as my wife and I walked with and photographed this happy couple.

Keana and Jason wanted something different for their engagement pictures; a little edgy and a little urban. So, we met up last weekend in downtown Los Angeles in the Arts District. I have a few friends in this area and knew it to have quite a diverse feel. It definitely helped to create a very unique perspective on this couple.

Last weekend I was able to meet Mina and Alex, who are getting married in August. We spent the last morning of winter wandering through Huntington Beach in the fog. The fog gave these pictures a very unique look!

This is from a few weeks ago, but after spending the last couple of weeks with my father on a trip to Mississippi, it’s time to play catch up. Kimberly and David are college sweethearts who moved to Los Angeles a while back from Wisconsin. Santa Monica is a special place for them, they come out here every week during the summer and this is where David popped the question!
It was a beautiful morning, wonderful for tromping all over to capture some great images!
