Day: 112
Am I a Hoodlum? I woke up wondering this morning, I wasn’t so sure anymore. The thought crossed my mind when I was standing on the curb last night with the police and Matt asked one of the officers;
“Do you truly think we are a menace to society?”. The officer responded “No.” but it got me thinking about all the borderline Hoodlum-ish things I have accomplished in the last 112 days. I walked out on a check in Czech(Day 55), threw a plate into the Mediterranean(Day 32), Trick the bartender into giving me free beer(lots) at the Heiniken Brewery (Day 58), an assortment of days being really drunk in public, some light drug use and now this.
We were all finally up and ready around two in the afternoon and wondered off to see everything Daytona had to offer starting with Go-Kart rides for the entire group, followed shopping for a new hat and some beach time including an impromptu soccer game with an assortment of new friends that we had came across on the beach. Although this turned out to be painful to me when I went for the ball, slid through the sand and crashed face first into some random guys teeth, busting open my face and leaving my beautiful face bloody. I headed over to the ice chest for ice for my face and a drink to help numb the pain. I love self medicating.
We made our way back to our house for some dinner (Jambalaya and BBQ’d salmon that Chad and I made) to clean up and get ready for the evening out. Becky (Aaron’s cousin) came out for the weekend so our count for this leg of the road trip is up to six. We set out to set the town on fire and see if all the Florida hype about partying is real.
