Oct 25, 2010:
I am a HUGE travel junkie. I admit it freely. I could talk about places I have been, places I want to go, places I love and places that are so-so, for days. Usually once people get me really started in the travel subject, I will only let it rest when the wife not-so-subtlety nudges me with an elbow. I might be going on-and-on about the people groups of Peru and the boniness of cuy (Guinea Pig) before it dawns on me that most people aren’t as interested in it as I am.
As mentioned before, Cassandra and Javier are travelers too, and having that in common, Felicia and I made fast friends. I jealously asked about their 3 week honeymoon to Spain and Italy, while throwing in tidbits of information about this or that, which they must see/eat/indulge-in while there. Just reminiscing about the conversation leaves me longing for the road.
Felicia and I had an awesome time shooting the whole day on this wedding that traveled from Chino to Pico Rivera to Union Station and finally settled for a last night reception at the LA River & Gardens. My feet felt battered at the end of the long day shooting, but all the talk of travel rejuvenated my spirit beyond belief.
Unfortunately, due to timing issues, our Union Station shoot was only able to last 12 minutes, exactly 12 minutes. We jumped out of our cars ran inside, snapped of a few images and had the happy couple back in the limo before anyone knew what happened.
Fortunately when we arrived at the LA River & Gardens, we had a little time before the reception when the light became magical and we were able to capture more amazing images of this stunning couple.
I loved the Spanish theme and the bottle of Tequila on every table, a great mix of cultures!
This last picture is one of my favorite from the whole day, it is just Cassandra in a state of pure glee.
Congrats again to both of you, and I hope the honeymoon will leave me jealous when I hear the stories!
