May 10th. 2018:
About a year and a half ago I went on a long bike ride along the Burke-Gilman trail in Seattle, after about 15 miles I needed to cross a wooden bridge, so I get off my bike, start to cross and the bridge collapses underneath me, I fall through up to my elbows and crack the ribs on my left side. I somehow managed to ride home that day, but then I could barely move for the next 4 days and I took another 2 solid months to mostly heal. After the accident, I never actually recalled where that bridge was…
Until a couple days ago when Nile + Lauren suggested we meet at the Park at Bothell Landing to do their engagement photos. As usual, I arrived a bit early to scout and I immediately saw “the bridge”. My ribs clenched and I chuckled, even going so far as to (carefully) cross over and examine where the city had repaired the bridge after my fall.
My bad experiences aside, the bridge and the surrounding area made an excellent location for Lauren + Nile’s session, and I had a fantastic, injury free afternoon with these two. Congrats again and I can’t wait to celebrate with you in September!
