April 5th, 2016:
A high-fiving porcupine named Mr. Prickles, an unplugged ceremony where our laid back grooms asked all their guests to turn off their devices and be a part of their marriage, a Lady and the Tramp style churro eating to replace a cake cutting, and even getting up close to a giraffe and various other desert creatures throughout the day; With promises like these, you can imagine I have been excited to shoot Matt + Jason’s wedding day at The Living Desert in Palm Springs for quite some time now.
Needless to say, these guys brought love, excitement, and their laid-back attitudes to what is easily one of the most fabulously fun weddings I have photographed in a long time.
Thanks for letting me celebrate with you both and congrats once again!

Congratulations to you both, wishing you only the best for many years to come.
Thank you so much for posting these beautiful photos! They really capture the spirit of movement, joy, and life of what looks like an amazingly fun and happy event. Though I don’t know the couple or their family (I’m an avid reader of Suzanne Brockmann’s books) Seeing these pictures really brightened my mood and made me smile. Best wishes and congrats to the grooms, kudos to the photographer for taking such great pictures, and a big thank you to everyone for sharing the love and joy!!!!
Hi Jason & Matt – What wonderful pictures of you two and all your guests. I had seen some of them that Lee showed me. What a delightful wedding you had. Everyone looked so happy. I’m just thrilled for both of you and wish you the very best of everything in your life together.
Lots of love to both of you.
Lovely pictures, just lovely. There’s something about a wedding, the smiles are bigger, the laughter more joyful, and the love, the love is just so bright. I too have read Suzanne’s books for many years and thoroughly enjoyed them all especially Jules and Robin’s story. So I will add wishes for good health, lots of laughter, and all the warmth that love and joy brings to their hearts. Thank you for sharing such beautiful pictures.
Although I don’t know Jason and Matt personally I’m a longtime reader of Suzanne’s books and have come to “know” her family through her blog and Jason and Ed’s postings on her FB page. Thank you so much for letting us share the love and happiness of this very special day!
Suzanne, thank you so very much for sharing these wonderful, gorgeous pictures. I feel that I have watched your Jason grow up through the years, to be proud and mature and loving and everything else that he is, partly through the correlations between Jules and Robin’s relationship. I’ve also watched you become an ambassador for gay rights, watched how you’ve embraced your son with nothing but love and support. All I can say, again, is thank you for sharing your journey – the real and the imagined – with your loyal and grateful readers.
