One of the most amazing things about what we do is that we often get to join our couples on their life journey beyond the wedding. We started with a phone consultation with Luis & Lucy since they were living in Florida at that time, shot their engagement session at their first date location in Long Beach, and then their wedding last September.

Now, they are parents-to-be, with their little girl due on their wedding anniversary! For us, seeing them again was like meeting up with old friends, which was really quite awesome.

Though these shoots are commonly referred to as ‘maternity’ photo sessions, we always like to include the Dad too. I mean, it takes two, doesn’t it? Lucy told us that she feels immensely sexy in her new, evolving body, which I found incredibly inspiring and powerful. And well, Luis, he brought his usual intensity. Seriously, these two are naturals!

Big, big congrats to the beautiful couple. We can’t wait to meet the little one!
