April 8th, 2013:
It’s not often that we get photography assignments at short notice and that start at 11:30pm, but last month Felicia and I made the long drive from Burbank to Camp Pendleton on a particularly foggy night for a really special event: Aaron, a close friend of mine, was finally coming home from Afghanistan. We were certainly thrilled at the news and were glad to share in yet another milestone of their family. I’ve taken an extended roadtrip with Aaron in 2006, his and Yvonne’s wedding was the very first one that Felicia and I photographed together, we’ve watched his kids grow from little munchkins to slightly-bigger munchkins, and even photographed his brother- and sister-in-law’s wedding in San Francisco (Hi Tracey & Chris!).
