Last week Rob and I headed south to Mission San Juan Capistraño to meet up with Jeneva + Kurt, possibly the most statuesque couple we’ve photographed yet. It wasn’t long into the session that I remarked about feeling like a Hobbit, the only one under six feet tall. At least, if genetic codes are to be trusted, I’m pretty sure Jeneva & Kurt’s future children will not face such a predicament.
The Mission was beautiful as usual, and thankfully we managed to avoid the throngs of summer tourists, for the most part. Speaking of summer, unlike the fanny-pack-wearing tourists, Jeneva totally worked it in a beautiful kelly green dress and strappy cork wedges. (Now, if only I had the requisite legginess to rock such an adorable outfit…).
Post-Mission, we headed to Caspers Wilderness Park for a change of scenery, and Jeneva & Kurt changed into their second outfits to enjoy a très chic picnic of Godiva-chocolate-coated strawberries and Cava, Spanish champagne. Mmmm…. It was even better when they decided that they had too many strawberries, so being the ever-helpful people that we are, Rob and I did them a favor and helped eat some. You’re welcome.
Clearly, Kurt was not to be outdone by his lady, and completely impressed us with his very preppy striped shirt + bowtie combo. Rob is now very inspired and keeps telling me that he needs to get a bowtie too. I’m not so sure if you can pull that off, Rob…
It was a super fun way to spend an afternoon, and we’re so happy for them. Here’s to more adventures, Jeneva & Kurt!
