August 8th, 2011:

Sitting around the kitchen table with Felicia this morning reading the Sunday paper (we had a wedding yesterday – as with most weekends – so we catch up on the weekend LA Times on Monday), we were in the midst of discussing our tasks for the day, including blogging, when we heard a knock on the door:

It was a decadent fruit arrangement as a thank you gift from Shaby and Mike for shooting their wedding a couple of weeks ago! (It will be on the blog later this week).

Well, such a beautiful (and delicious) surprise certainly deserves its own blog post. Thank you Shaby & Mike for the lovely gesture, and we’re glad you’re enjoying your wedding pictures!

Felicia and I had a double wedding weekend (Friday and Sunday) and though our feet hurt and our shoulders ache today, appreciative clients remind us why there’s value in what we do. As my wife always tells me, there’s longevity in the pictures we create, where generations after, our clients’ children, children’s children and so on, can look back on these images and have a glimpse into the past. It’s kinda crazy to think that people who don’t even exist yet may look at these pictures Felicia and I took, long after we’re gone.

Anyway. I’m going to eat more fruit now and my wife can’t judge me because fruit is HEALTHY – yes, even chocolate-covered pineapple! Happy Monday!
