Tracey + Chris – Around Downtown

December 16th, 2010:

You have to love it when you have such hardcore supporters like Yvonne Davis, we shot her wedding to Aaron almost 3 years ago, and when her brother Chris’ fiance (Tracey) called to tell Yvonne they are getting married, the first thing out of Yvonne’s mouth was “You HAVE to use Rob for your photography!!”.  Not “Congratulations!”, but a photography recommendation… I have to admit, I love it!

So within a couple days of setting their date Tracey followed Yvonne’s recommendation and gave Felicia and I a call.  We arranged a meeting, confirmed up everything for their wedding in San Francisco at the end of this month, and scheduled an engagement session.

Tracey had done her homework and wanted a downtown session around the Los Angeles Central Library and the Bradbury Building,  I was happy to comply and last Saturday we spent a couple hours with this happy couple capturing some great images.

Looking forward to San Francisco with you guys after Christmas! Congrats again!

Hmmmm… I wonder where you get such cool red soled shoes…

I believe my exact words to Chris for this picture were, “Don’t worry about her, she’s just your accessory, this is all about you.” – I love being a male photographer and turning around the “It’s all about the bride” adages, and making it all about the groom.  Because at the end of the day it isn’t about either person it’s actually about the couple together.
