…and that’s what we did! For the 4th year in a row we gathered a dozen Santas (and one Frosty!) and set out on a downtown drinking binge. Every year I set myself a challange to see how cheap I can get away with a night of heavy drinking for. I fill my pocket with a small pile of cash as “booze money” then I head out and see how little I can spend.
This all started the first year (2006) when we went out and I brought $100. I bought the first round for Aaron and I for $11 then the evening faded to drunken oblivion. The next morning, after dragging my brother off his bathroom floor, I cringed as I glanced in my wallet to see what kind of damage I did. To my absolute astonishment I still had $87, and thus my tradition of getting people to buy Santa a beer began!
This year I started with $40 and the next morning I still had $18 in the old wallet. Which made it a good year but not quite the best, but plenty of people got added to the “Nice” list for providing Santa with something refreshing to indulge in.

What a fun idea! While in NYC a few weekends ago I saw a bunch of random people dressed as Santa. I wonder if they were doing something like this!
