Day: 117
Waking up as the sun shone in through the open flaps of my tent, my day started uneventfully with the practiced breaking down of my tent and sleeping bag even before the others had woken up. They all started to stir a few minutes after that and we soon had Skittles(our car) and Ryan’s rented HHR packed and we were headed to the next ferry to continue up the Outer Banks here in North Carolina. Soon we (without Aaron, who was a grump from having to camp, and just slept in the car) were messing around on the boat during our 40 minute ride, taking pictures and hanging out in the air-conditioned passanger “lounge” (by lounge I mean two benches in a tiny room; but it was freezing from the air!).
Soon we were back on the mainland making o
ur way through Virginia and into the nations capital to try to find a place to stay. After about an hour lost in traffic we got into the local Holiday Inn, where I was able to blog while everyone showered then it was off to find some dinner and see the cities monuments at night.

Welcome Virginia! What a haul so far. We’re glad to hear you guys are having such a great time. Take care and tear it up in the “Big Apple”.
