If you follow this blog, you would have noticed on several occasions that we felt like we were part of our friends’ wedding days. At Ted & Kate’s, we actually felt like family.
After their First Look at Pasadena City Hall, Ted & Kate started the day with a Chinese tea ceremony that was very moving and full of emotion as they honored their elders and participated in Chinese wedding traditions. The cacophony of voices, festivity, and excitement certainly brought to mind parts of our own wedding in Singapore.
We then made the drive to Palos Verdes where they had their ceremony at the gorgeous Wayfarers Chapel in Palo Verdes. We ended the night at King Hua Restaurant in Alhambra, where Ted & Kate generously had us seated with their guests and, by taking turns, Rob and I somehow managed to enjoy most of the 10-course wedding banquet. YUM!
Ted & Kate’s day is our longest wedding of the year, but as the saying goes, time flies when you’re having fun. Instead of exhaustion, we left the wedding feeling incredibly thankful for all the amazing people we get to meet, and are so very happy for Ted & Kate.
Congratulations! Thank you so much for having us!
