If you follow Rob or myself on Instagram, you might have waited in bated breath as we witnessed torrential rain just before Joanna & Nathan‘s wedding at the Hard Rock Punta Cana in the Dominican Republic. Of course, I, the resident ‘hurricane hustler’, took the blame. [See my posts on being caught in Hurricane Sandy here and here; and the next month in Typhoon Bopha in the Philippines]
Thankfully the rain cleared up right in time for the ceremony (you’re welcome), and we had the most amazing light on the beach. It was very special being one of the select few people besides their immediate family to have witnessed their ceremony. This wedding is proof that small weddings can be every bit as meaningful, fun, and full of emotion as a big celebration too!
Having experienced with Joanna & Nathan the roller-coaster of ups & downs that is wedding planning, it was amazing to finally be part of their special celebration all the way in the Dominican Republic. We had an incredible time with them and their families (they’re SO much fun!), and couldn’t have asked for a better way to end 2013.

So with this as our last wedding of 2013, we round off another incredible year. We are immensely thankful for every single person who has so generously given to us their time and their trust. We are deeply humbled and grateful for all that we get to do, and for all the amazing people we get to meet.
2014 is shaping up to be a year of travel, with Singapore, Japan, Kauai, France, San Francisco, and Northern California already locked in. Here’s to many, many, more adventures. Have an amazing year ahead!
