December 19th, 2011:

Christmas wouldn’t be Christmas without making sure we got put on the naughty list (or at least the moderate-troublemaking list), so for our 5th year straight we rallied the Santa’s and headed off to Pasadena for another evening of Holiday celebrations.  As we’ve done for the past half decade, we drank slightly too much, waved and said “Ho Ho Ho!” to all the Santa lovers, and just generally enjoyed ourselves.

The best part of the whole day was earlier when Felicia was speaking to her mom on the phone explaining the crawl and her mom was taken aback at the entire event.  Felicia said “Oh, well.. Rob’s dad is going too”,  which completely eased her mothers concern about the event and made her believe that all would be well.  Yet, truth be told, my Dad got the craziest out of all of us, turning everyone he met into his new best friend.  A few times throughout the night I had to go hunt him down and drag him along with us – although the giant Santa smile on his face made it all worth it.

At one point we walked by a resturaunt and the owner rushed out and told us he’d give us $100 cash and some free drinks if we came in and said “Hi.” for a few minutes.  Who are we to refuse? We shuffled around his tiny place, got pictures with all the guests and scored ourselves a quick bill.

Good times were had by all, which was the perfect start to the upcoming week of holiday gatherings.  Now, if only this headache I still have would clear up…
