A Week Along:

Ok, so Felicia and I are a week along in our marriage now and I thought I would catch everyone up on the wedding day (which was last Saturday, July 4th). My family just headed home after two weeks here in Singapore and Thailand, so for the next week or so I will be paying catch-up here.

The pictures speak for themselves,  and as much as I would like to take credit for them, other than the first image on this post they were shot either by some member of my family or by Justin Mott, our wedding day photographer.

Just for an idea of how full our day was here was the schedule of events:

7am – Felicia and Rob wake up and get ready.

8am – Rob has breakfast with his groomsmen while Felicia continues to get ready.

9am – We all head to Grandma’s for the tea ceremony

11am – We all head for a 9 course Chinese lunch banquet

2:30pm – Felicia, Justin and I spend the next hour and a half doing a photoshoot.

4:30pm – Rest time for Felicia at the hotel (I just managed to squeeze in a shower and a fresh shirt before heading to our ceremony/dinner venue to prepare)

6:30pm – Guest begin arriving for cocktails at our evening ceremony.

7:30pm – Felicia arrives and we proceed to marry ourselves.

8:30pm – Eat tasty french food with my new wife.

9:30pm – Have a surprise “suitcase” cake sprung on us by her friends (our wedding’s theme was travel)

10:30pm – We leave the french restaurant where we said our vows and  jumped on the 23 passenger “Party Bus” to take us downtown to Howl at the Moon to party the night away….

The day was crazy long, but it still seemed to fly by, and before we knew it Felicia and I passed out at 2am in our hotel room, completely exhausted, but proud of the monumental step we took with each other today.  Thanks to all those who helped us out and thanks to all the guests for enjoying this celebration with us.
